Preposition + Idioms & Phrases


Mourn over = Don't mourn over the dead.
Tell upon = Over-eating tells upon health.
Alternative to = This question is alternative to that.
Angry for = I am angry for something.
Obsessed with = He is obsessed with the idea.
Differ from = This thing differs from that.
Out of sorts =  He is out of sorts now.
At a stretch = He can run ten miles at a stretch.
At a low ebb = His fame is at a low ebb now.
A black sheep = Tom is a black sheep in their family
Nip in the bud = All his hopes were nipped in the bud.
